In keeping with our small skills workshop theme…. we are happy to announce a beginner and/or refresher workshop for stranded knitting, also referred to as Fair Isle. This advanced beginner class will use a super cute design and kit options to get you comfortable with basic stranding.
Catherine Paul will be teaching this workshop and the class materials include a Mini Royalty pattern, a summary of the skills, and light refreshments! If you prefer an adult sized hat in a chunky squishy new yarn base from the same designer, we have a choice of three Pam Powers Hat kits with fluffy poms – think faster knit!
Skills required:
- cast on
- knit and purl
- basic increases and decreases
- simple chart following
Materials for workshop:
- 100 yds each of 3 different colors worsted yarn (we have some good combos on hand) OR an Ikigai Kit
- #5 16” circular needle
- #7 16” circular needle
- #7 DPN or 32” circular IF comfortable with magic loop
