OKSA SWEATER KAL
FALL 2022
At The NeedleTree
Our Fall 2022 KAL is going to be a new take on a classic yoked fisherman’s gansy pullover with a very fun array of cables and slipped stitches.
This basic seamless pullover frame allows for inclusive sizing, there are 10 size options for this sweater and several customizable fit options. The pattern is written for a long sleeve wool pullover and I have simple modification for a split hem and/or ¾ sleeves.
We have teamed up with Red Stag Fibre, an indie dyer from Conroe Texas, on a trunk show timed for this KAL. Red Stag will have sweater quantities of yarn specifically for this KAL! I used 5 skeins of his Estate DK, in colorway Vann, for the shop sample. The trunk show will be in the shop October 1-10, 2022.
Oksa pattern is by Caitlyn Hunter and is available on Ravelry. The pattern will be included in the class fee or I can do an in-store purchase for you if you would like just the pattern. Oksa uses a DK or light worsted weight yarn, I used Estate DK from Red Stag Fibre. You are welcome to use stash yarns.
In the first class I will go over the Oksa sizing options, collar/cuff options, and German short rows and placement options. The second class will address any tension question on slipped stitches, hem and sleeve options. Video links will be provided as well.
We will meet on our usual Sunday afternoons. Two sessions should get a very pretty garment!
