INTRO TO LACE KNITTING
At The NeedleTree
In keeping with our small skills workshop theme….we are happy to announce the next one!! This workshop will focus on lace knitting – there is no reason to be afraid! We will all start the Flamenco Shawl together. This a great one skein starter pattern. Our sample is done in the deliciously soft Red Barn 100% Mink (which, as an aside, begs to be touched) but you can use anything in the right weight! We will take the time to demonstrate and practice each of the stitches used in this pattern, discuss how to read a chart, go over both the chart and written pattern details, how to block lace, and a few other general lace tips and tricks and get you comfortable tackling another new skill.
Catherine Paul will be teaching this workshop and the class materials include a copy of the Flamenco pattern and Mom’s light refreshments!
