The series now progresses into incorporating a design into the sock and another method of sock construction, toe-up in this case. We will go over Judy’s magic cast-on for seamless toes, a demo of differing needle options for socks and finessing your heel. This pattern, the How I Roll, is for a footie, or bootie sock, but also has instructions for continuing up the leg for a standard sock. The pattern also includes a thorough discussion on color blending, or the “fade” technique. We will touch on this in class 2 if time allows, otherwise leave it as bonus from the pattern!
